Having been away for a week it was back to full on ringing with a wedding at Bardwell on Friday, a peal at Rougham on Saturday and a visit to Bardwell by SPAB (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings) this afternoon to see our old bellframe.
The peal at Rougham will be remembered for an uncontrollable attack of hysteria after Maurice very kindly enquired after Janet's cat. It came under control for most of the peal I'm glad to say, though I had a slight wobble in the Cambridge section when my mind wandered in the wrong direction.
I'm thrilled to hear that Philippa Weyers of the Norman Tower has exerted her steely determination yet again to ring her first quarter. Well done Philippa!! And I see that Pete Davidson of Wickham Skeith has rung his first quarter of Minor, well done Pete.
