"The Redgrave/Rickinghall ringers made a start today (6th Feb) to honour our tower captain on the occasion of his 95th birthday. We decided to try and include all ability levels, and therefore not exclude any member from participating in a quarter peal length of ringing, even if they were not experienced enough to participate in a conventional quarter.
To that end we decided to ring a prolonged stretch of Devon changes on 5 bells, with the changes made on every third handstroke, and of a length equivalent to a 1260. This was achieved at Redgrave this morning (6th February) in 46 minutes, with the following ringers:
1. Kay Lucas (C)
2. Yvonne Lowe
3. David Lowe
4. Shawn Kholucy
5. Colin White
6. Chris Davies
We actually rang 3 full extents of Devon changes on 5 bells, plus a part round to make up the 1260. For ringers 3 and 4 it was their first prolonged period ring. A special thanks to Kay for making such a brilliant job of calling it. (We are well aware that it is not a proper quarter and we were not trying to sell it as such – purely a tool to include our less advanced members in a memorable/extended period ringing event!)’’
Additionally, on the 14th February the following was rung: (Details from Campanophile)

Birthday compliment to Albert Driver, 95 today.
